File Menu
The File Menu contains the basic commands common to all programs. New, Open, Close, Save, Quit etc. One of the first Keyboard Shortcuts you should get used to is Command E which gets a block of text or a picture and places it into the Text or Picture box that you have created for it. An ellipse (three dots) after a menu item indicates that there is a Dialog Box associated with it.
Save Page as EPS is a very useful feature as it allows to save a page as an EPS (Encapsulated PostScript file), scale it if required and export to another application that handles EPS files.
Collect for Output gathers together all of the image files used in your document plus a copy of the document itself and a detailed report with information Fonts used, missing files etc. All of this is saved to a folder and can be given straight to a Service Bureau for printing - neat? yes indeed.
The final group of commands are concerned with printing options.
