What is QuarkXpress?QuarkXpress has become recognised as the world's best Page Layout program. From home users, putting together their club newsletter to multinational publishing giants producing newspapers, magazines and books, QuarkXpress is the standard. How do I get started?This tutorial is geared towards helping first time users become familiar with the program. The sections to the right will take you through the key areas - Menus, Palettes, Layout explaining the different elements involved and what they are used for. Current VersionI should point out that Quark are preparing to launch Xpress 5, which promises considerable enchancements, prompted by the competition provided by Adobe InDesign. The material in this tutorial relates to Xpress versions 3 and 4 and concentrates on 'bread and butter' Desktop Publishing issues. I hope to provide material for more advanced users shortly.
